Throw! Trim! Glaze!

A warm Portland summer is on its way with long days, golden evenings, and a spice in the air that invites newness, exploration, and discovery. Throw! Trim! Glaze! is a summer fling with ceramics, with no strings attached.

Low stakes, hands-on, and a little bit of a whirlwind, this three-week workshop series will take you through all of the major beats of the making process and have you walking away with a handful of your very own sunkissed creations.

In Week 1, you'll get a feel for the wheel— learning to center, pull, and shape simple forms.

Week 2 is all about trimming and tidying up your pieces, adding attachments and using surface decoration to give them even more personality.

Week 3 is a dip into the world of glaze, finalizing your pots with color & using wax and tape resist techniques to create crisp, effortless finishes.

A little structure, a little spontaneity—just enough time to get your hands in the clay and see where it takes you.

• What you'll be making: Up to 3 wheel thrown pieces, with option to purchase and keep more!

• Schedule: Saturday May 10, 6pm to 9:30pm (Throwing) + Saturday May 17, 6pm to 9pm (Trimming) + Saturday May 24, 6pm to 9pm (Glazing)

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know 7 days before your class/workshop begins. We are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or exchanges, within 7 days of the start of a class/workshop for any reason. Any refunds issued are subject to a 5% processing fee.
